The Baker family has been involved in seed production in the Rutherglen area for 4 generations. The first processing facility was commissioned in 1972 as a way of adding value to seed production, specialising predominately with sub clover. Since 1972 the processing facility has undergone a number of alterations and upgrades, culminating in the new facility being constructed in 1998. The infrastructure at Baker Seed Co uses the latest in technology and machinery, enabling us to provide a professional supply chain from the paddock through to the customer.

Baker Seed Co has seen itself develop long standing relationships with most major seed companies throughout Australia, expanding on our existing loyal customer base. Our customers are able to capitalise on the production potential of North East Victoria and Riverina districts. Our location, 10km from the Hume Freeway, allows us to offer our customers and growers an extensive and competitive transport network, thus enabling a very cost effective path to market.
 
Some of the seeds we process are a complete range of cereals, oil seeds, grasses, annual and perennial clovers and pulses. The flexibility of our plant enables all types of seed and grain to be processed to a very high standard. Following processing, Baker Seed Co also offers a range of professional treatment options along with an extremely efficient packaging facility. Storage facilities at Baker Seed Co are industry leading with vermin free, temperature stable environments, ensuring your seed is despatched at the highest quality.
